Over the years, the Bouncing Bulldogs have participated in a wide array of events, showcasing their talent, dedication, and passion for jump rope. This page serves as a celebration of some of our most memorable past events and achievements.
Highlights and Milestones
We have a proud history at the Double Dutch Holiday Classic in Harlem, NY, consistently bringing home numerous trophies. Our “Best of Show” award at the 32nd Annual event in 2023 was a particularly special moment.
Our team has had the honor of performing at the high-energy halftime shows of the ACC Women’s Basketball Semifinal, sharing our skills with enthusiastic sports fans.
Our consistent qualification for the World Jump Rope Championships is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our jumpers. We proudly represented the USA at the championships in Orlando, Florida in 2014.
We annually host the Kenzie Ruston Legacy Jump-A-Thon to celebrate the life and legacy of a beloved member of our team, bringing together jumpers, friends, and family.
Annual Events
- NC Annual Workshop: For over 30 years, we have hosted the North Carolina Rope Skipping Workshop in Chapel Hill, North Carolina bringing together jumpers of all levels for training and skill development.
- International Jump Rope Spectacular: This annual event brings together top jumpers from around the world for a spectacular one-night-only performance.
- Double Dutch Holiday Classic: World-class championship Double Dutch event featuring teams from the United States and the world competing for team positions at national and international events.
- Kenzie Ruston Legacy Jump-A-Thon: This annual event honors the legacy and spirit of Bouncing Bulldogs team captain Kenzie Ruston.

Community Engagement
The Bouncing Bulldogs are deeply involved in the community, participating in numerous events to promote fitness and healthy lifestyles. In the past, we’ve been proud to be part of events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the US Open, and performances for various schools and community organizations.
